Tired of tracking down when you need to refill your printer supplies? Then check out the latest innovation that IT management vendor Spiceworks has implemented today: an automated printer ink and toner reminder and restocking program. The company claims its users are responsible for maintaining more than 10 million printers, and that adds up to a lot of toner cartridges.
As you can see from the screenshot above (click to enlarge in all its hi-res glory), users can monitor levels and set thresholds and alerts when ink is about to run dry, along with automated purchasing refills. Like everything else on Spiceworks, there are community product ratings and reviews on more than 1,000 printers from 100 different vendors. The feature is only available to US-based users but will be rolled out worldwide later this year.
