The SmartThings hub went on sale in the US in September this year in the US, with the UK version becoming available the following week. Now there is some good news as a software / firmware update is scheduled to be available later on today. Hub users can expect the update to be automatically pushed down to their device between 9am – 12pm Pacific Time (PT).
Once the update has been downloaded to the SmartThings hub, the update procedure will begin and is expected to take less than 10 minutes to complete. The update includes improvements to Smart Home Monitor, camera discovery, and a number of other bug fixes and enhancements. The bad news is that during the update time your hub will temporarily go off-line.
We are digging around for some further Information and a change log if possible, and will update you soon.
