Brainshark, the online presentation provider that we’ve covered previously, today announced a free new Android app that connects to both its free MyBrainshark service as well as the paid corporate service. This is in addition to their existing iOS app. The Android app is available today from the Android Market and will also work on RIM’s Playbook.
Brainshark is a competitor to Slideshare.net, allowing anyone to upload a PowerPoint or PDF to their Web service and annotate it with audio or video comments or music. The company claims a presentation is viewed every two and a half seconds.
The App is optimized for mobile devices to make it easier to view and navigate around presentations as well as to download any attached content. Presentations can be easily shared with a single click.
Brainshark CEO Joe Gustafson says, “As individuals increasingly access their content on-the-go and businesses support a variety of mobile initiatives, Brainshark helps ensure that content is engaging, effective and easy to access.” The company also offers its Enhanced Mobile analytics and tracking service, including clickpath tracking, support for polls and surveys, and the ability to see who completed watching a particular presentation.
