Many of our readers from Indonesia have been eagerly waiting for a Tizen based Smartphone to be released there, and today the Samsung Z2, model number SM-Z200F, has been officially launched there. You can purchase one for Rp. 899,000 and this is seen as a very competitive price compared to other similar powered smartphones.
It was only yesterday that we saw the Z2 launched in Nepal, with the device already being available in India and South Africa. Next we could potentially see a launch in Kenya, but keep following Tizen Experts for all the news 😉
The Z2 will definitely going to appeal to Indonesian feature phone users that now want to move over to a smartphone. Consumers will get long battery life out of a relatively small battery and the ability to save on your data, both qualities that will appeal to people from this region.
Samsung have also released a TV Ad for the Z2 and shows the improvements that have been made from feature phones when you make use of 4G / LTE connectivity that lets you surf the net “super quick”. There is also mention of the Auto Selfie feature.
The devices has a 4″ WVGA screen that is Powered by a 1.5GHz Quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830 processor with a Mali 400MP2 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal Storage, microSD capability (upto 128GB), dual SIM support, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, and a 1500mAh long-lasting battery.
