Samsung has been revealed to be working on a new wireless power bank that is confirmed to charge at a whopping 25W with the model number EB-U3300. It’s almost the end of the decade and Samsung decide to end it with a surprise. The FCC has recently certified this wireless power bank from Samsung. The certification certificate shows us the model number (that I’ve stated above).
The Features of the Power Bank
The image of the Samsung EB-U3300 power bank is thanks to the SafetyKorea website. It shows that the wireless power bank has two USB-C ports. So, if you have a Samsung smartphone that cannot wirelessly charge, this will be useful. Due to the fact that 25W can only be achieved through USB-C to USB-C cables, there are no standard USB-A output ports. And finally, the charging bad on the top. As well as those features, we can also see a power button and status LED lights.. Must I explain what they do?
The Capacity of the Power Bank?
The capacity of the power bank? This detail is unknown as of now but we are expecting it to have about 10,000 mAh. However, BRG, a tech blog, states that the power bank seems to only have 5,000 mAh capacity. But, these are all rumours for now. Another unknown detail is when this power bank is going to be released to the public. We are either expecting the Samsung EB-U3300 power bank to surface to be launched at CES 2020 (7th January – 10th January) or it will launch alongside the Galaxy S11 in February 2020. The power bank will supposedly have modes of wireless charging. This is 2.5W, 5W, 7.5W and 25W. However, there is no 15W, which is supported by both of the Galaxy Note 10 devices – but then they can still charge at 25W.
The power bank will be compatible with all Samsung smartphones in the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note series released after 2014. The device will also likely be compatible with the Galaxy Buds, the upcoming Galaxy Buds+, the Galaxy Watch, Watch Active, Watch Active 2, Gear S2 and Gear S3.
If the launch of the power bank really is within the first two months of 2020, we don’t have to wait a long time at all. 🙂
