T-Mobile, one of the large US based Carriers, have today announced release plans for the Gear S3 Smartwatch. They have confirmed that the Gear S3 Frontier LTE version will be available to purchase from their stores starting from 18th November, and will be priced at $399. Some will be a bit disappointed with this price point as its $50 more than their competitor AT&T.
The S3 LTE version, as the name suggests, has built in LTE connectivity which will allow you to make and receive calls, text messages, or access emails without the need of having it paired to a smartphone. So far none of the Carriers is offering the Gear S3 Classic bluetooth version, which means that they really do want you to make more use of their network.
The Frontier is the more rugged looking watch compare to the S3 Classic and features dust and water resistance. Samsung seems to be on a winner with their rotating bezel and 1.3-inch circular AMOLED display. Other features that help it stand out from the crowd are built in GPS, Samsung Pay support that supports any merchant devices, and a battery that can last up to 4 days.
