Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Bayern Munich face off in the knockout round of the FIFA Club World Cup. We look at the best bets ahead of the showdown at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Both teams are packed with creative talent that shone throughout the previous season, and it looks to be a marquee game when it kicks off at 5 pm GMT, 12:00 pm EST at the home of Atlanta United.
Here are some of those aforementioned best bets to place if you’re in the mood to add more excitement to the tie.
PSG vs Bayern Club World Cup best bets
PSG comes into this year’s competition off the back of a decorated season. Picking up the UEFA Champions League for the first time and dominating a weary Inter Milan side to the point of ridicule. They are the kings of Europe, and their dynamic play under Luis Enrique hasn’t stopped at the final whistle of that landmark final.
Ousmane Dembélé comes back into the side and could feature in his first start for the Parisians. Similarly, Jamal Musiala could make an appearance for Bayern, having managed some minutes versus CR Flamengo.
Both are seen as generational talents and could decide the game if their form and minutes allow them to do so. Dembélé is 5.5/+450 to nab an assist, and Musiala is on higher odds of 7.5/+600 to set up a goal.
There is a history between PSG and Bayern, as the latter prevented the former from claiming their first European triumph five years ago. Kingsley Coman’s header decided that game, and he still features for Bayern to this day, despite both sides having undergone significant changes.
PSG are 2.3/+125 to come out victorious, a draw is a 3.75/+275, and a result for the German powerhouse is 3/+200.
Bayern are the consummate machine of European football and have had some interesting games in their travels to this year’s Club World Cup.
Harry Kane has been a stalwart for the side in a time when a changing of the guard has happened in Munich. He adds much-needed leadership in a time when Thomas “Radio” Müller, one of Bayern’s most decorated players, has decided to hang up his boots.
Kane said ahead of the tie, “We have to believe (we can win the Club World Cup) for sure. We’re going up against a tough opponent in the next round, no doubt, Champions League winners.”
The English striker will look to be amongst the goals when the sides meet, and he is 6/+500 to break the deadlock and 2.5/+200 to hit the back of the net at any time.
