OpenMobile’s ACL delivers 400K+ Android Apps to MeeGo (Soon to Tizen)

Below is a new video showing OpenMobile’s Application Compatibility Layer (ACL) which is capable of bringing over 400,000+ Android Apps to your MeeGo device.

ACL for MeeGo performs seamlessly on Smartphones, Tablets, eReaders, Connected TVs and In-Vehicles. ACL powers MeeGo devices with an Apps ecosystem touting over 400,000 Android apps.

That is all good for Meego, but we need to keep in mind that OpenMobile are working on getting these Android Apps onto Tizen devices, assuming that some OEMs are interested in bundling in their solution as part of the OS. Word from OpenMobile is that there is plenty of interest following the Tizen Conference that took place in San Francisco 😉
This demo showcases ACL (version .9) running Pine Trail on version 1.2.09 of MeeGo.
