Scratch 3.0 is here! Haven’t heard of it? Let me explain then. Scratch
Latest version of Scratch has been released
Scratch 3.0 is the newest generation of Scratch. It has been designed to give more options to how, what and where you can create with Scratch. It also has more sprites (also known as characters) and completely new sound editor and new blocks to program with. Also with Scratch 3.0, it is easier to play with on a phone or tablet device as the blocks have been enlarged to drag them better.
Scratch runs in most current web browsers on desktops, laptops and tablets. For desktops, you can use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari but Internet Explorer is not supported. For
There are also new sound effect blocks in Scratch 3.0 so you have more sound options, new operators that make it easier to work with text, a new glide block to make it easier to move to a sprite (or random point). The new layout makes certain options more visible, there are more options to adjust and select colours. The good old recording system has been improved to make it easier to use as well as the trimming system. There are also new sound effects (‘faster’, ‘slower’ and ‘echo’ etc.)
If you haven’t heard of Scratch before, I would consider checking it out as it really is a great platform. As Scratch says: As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
