See you soon at the Tizen Developer Conference #TDCSF14

Remember, the official HashTag for the event is #TDCSF14
Soon it will be time to get a few hours sleep and then head off to the airport. The 3rd annual Tizen Developer Conference is here (June 2 – 4, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square), and we are more excited this year, than ever before. This is the first year that developers will get a real Tizen Devices as part of the TDC 2014 give away, to build their Tizen applications on and help grow our community. This year is seen as a brand new start to Tizen, opportunities for us all.

Tizen is now available on Smart camera’s like the Samsung NX30 (which most of the conference pictures will be taken with), and wearables like the Samsung Gear 2, and is even making its place in car’s, fridges and even washing machines.

At the conference we will have Tizen Common 3.0 Alpha on another form factor, the Intel NUC, and this is seen as the start of many things to come for the Operating System of Everything. Tizen common is not a vertical in itself, but instead a base OS that other verticals can be built upon, and it also supports Qt out of the box 😉

The Hacker Lounge is with us again this year, which is the ideal place to meet other hackers, open source enthusiasts, and even people looking for the right team to collaborate with. This is something that I fell in love with from the first hacker lounge, at the first MeeGo conference in dublin 2010. I am assured there won’t be any shortage of snacks, beverages, games like PacMan, ping pong, air hockey, and a bar each evening! You will also have the chance to play werewolf, another game from the MeeGo days.
We will have Tizen Partners and conference sponsor’s showcasing their Tizen based products, and there is also a evening event, just so you can network with not only them, but also other TDC attendees. For the more hands on of us, there is also a DevLab during the conference, if you want to get up and running on Tizen as fast as you can.
The conference will be covered by some members of the Tizen Experts team and we welcome the opportunity to network with other Tizen focused companies and developers, or even if you want to directly contribute to the Tizen Experts website, we would love to hear from you. Please use our contact us page to discuss these opportunities further, or give us a shout on Twitter
