Is Epic Games down? It looks as though Fortnite, Rocket League Xbox Live and more are down too

Reports are starting to flood in of an outage when players are trying to log onto the Epic Games servers to play Fortnite, Rocket League, and more. The games are not allowing people to join and trying to log in and trying to log into the Epic Games server is throwing up a big red box full of Javascript errors.

A check on Downdectector indeed does show a reported outage in the last few minutes, but more concerningly so do Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. It is unclear how many people may be reporting Fortnite errors on consoles as issues with the gaming servers themselves,

In the last few minutes, the official Fortnite Status account posted, ”

Hi there!

We’re currently experiencing log-in issues. Not to worry, we will be updating this thread once we have more details to share. We appreciate your patience. 😊

This was then followed up shortly after with “We’re investigating an issue affecting logins and matchmaking, which we are working to resolve now.

We’ll provide an update to this post once the issue has been resolved.”

Users on X confirmed the issues seem widespread with comments such as, “It’s not just PlayStation Xbox the same way, “cannot connect to Xbox Live” “cannot sign in to your epic games account” etc finally got in after 10 mins but doubt it’ll stick” beginning to proliferate.

We will update this story as more info becomes clear, hopefully, it will not be a long outage.

Is Xbox Live down as well?

Update: It does seem as though the issue could be spread further afield than just Epic Games as some people are reporting further issues with Xbox Live.
