The PS5 Pro is aiming to bring even more graphical fidelity to this generation of games, further that of what the base PS5 console was capable of.
However, like all hardware this day in age, there’s so many people that want to get their hands on it as soon as it launches.
You can guarantee one by putting a pre-order through ahead of launch but Sony has made it a bit of a challenge.
Below, we’ll explain how to pre-order the PS5 Pro so you’re not the only one of your squad on older tech.
PS5 Pro pre-order explained
The pre-order process for the PS5 Pro is somewhat confusing as there are a couple of dates to learn, as well as restrictions through certain retailers.
The first available date you can pre-order the PS5 Pro is on September 26, 2024, but this can only be done in most countries via PS Direct.
In areas where PS Direct isn’t an option, you will be able to utilize participating retailers but this could be a tough get in comparison to Sony directly.
Granted, there are a plethora of regions PS Direct is available including the likes of the UK, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and more, so most wanting the new console will have a chance to scoop one up.
If you are in one of the countries that PS Direct isn’t on offer, you can wait for the regular retail pre-orders which begin on October 10, 2024.
These standard storefronts include Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and more country-specific shops, so if you do miss out on the initial pre-order phase, there are plenty of other stores you can utilize to ensure you get one in the second phase.
If you don’t manage to get a PS5 Pro pre-order in, you will sadly have to wait for the official launch date of November 7, 2024 and count your lucky stars that you get one in the basket before they sell out!
