How to play the Kaiserpunk public playtest this weekend – grand strategy city-builder shows off its secrets

We have had our eye on next February’s Kaiserpunk for a while now and the grand strategy city-builder, set in a gloriously alternative 20th-century universe is set to take up our playtime this weekend when it starts its second public playtest on Steam.

With air, sea, and land battles to get to grips with, Kaiserpunk looks just novel enough to take it away from the plethora of similar ideas that we have seen of late.

The devs at Overseert Games said in a Steam blog post, “Kaiserpunk has evolved into a polished and feature-rich experience. We’ve added brand-new systems, reworked old ones, and addressed the feedback from our first Playtest.”

To highlight what is coming in this weekend’s playtest there is also a new trailer which you can catch below.

To register your interest to take part you need to head to the Kaiserpunk Steam page and request access. If you get in, which we feel is likely, you will receive an email before it starts.

When is the Kaiserpunk playtest?

The playtest will run from 29th November until 3rd December with the full game slated for release on 27th February next year,
