The Galaxy Watch Active2, despite being released in September last year has still not got the ECG features. Users were promised to get this feature by the end of Q1 2020. Yes, the smartwatch has lots of good features like fitness and sleep tracking, battery life and even the ECG. But the ECG feature for the Galaxy Watch Active2 still hasn’t been activated – yet.
Now that we have reached the end of Q1 and still haven’t got the long-awaited feature, the person in charge of Samsung Health Service operations, whoever they are, has informed the public that their team needs more time to optimise the ECG. They want to make sure it delivers a stable performance. Samsung have said that they will announce the new time frame that users should receive the ECG feature (finally!) in the future. Hopefully the feature will come soon!
On many community pages across the internet, users have been complaining about the fact that they still don’t have the electrocardiogram as well. These pages are on social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and the Samsung Community forum itself. After waiting quite a few months, I don’t think Galaxy Watch Active2 users can go much longer until they combust.
What is an Electocardiogram?
As well as being a long word, an electrocardiogram is used to check the heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. The ECG sensor will pick up the electrical signals produced by the heart every time it beats.
An ECG is usually used when doctors want to investigate a possible heart problem or symptoms of a heart problem. These symptoms include chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and shortness of breath.
