Galaxy Watch Active 2 Under Armour-branded model in the pipeline

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a watch that has been much awaited since its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch Active. So far we have seen the leaked renders, where we can see that the design is very much like the Galaxy Watch Active. We can also see that the watch comes with two physical buttons on the left-hand side of it, with a microphone between them.

The watch will have fall detection, Afib notifications and the ECG. The ECG, however, possibly won’t be available at the time of its launch. This is because Samsung requires FDA approval and do not expect it until early 2020. At the time of the launch, you will still get the Afib notifications and the fall detections but the ECG will come in a later update.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 has an Under Armour-branded model

Something about the new model is that it will have a Galaxy Watch Active 2 Under Armour-branded model. Interesting, right? The smartwatch will allow you to have free six-month access to MapMyRun. According to SamMobile, custom watch faces could also be included in the deal. The watch is also said to come with an exclusive strap with a more sporty design. The LTE functions of the watch is rumoured to only work with Android smartphones at first. Samsung are planning to integrate iPhone devices as well but it’s unclear when this might happen.

The models of the Watch Active 2 that only support Bluetooth will have an aluminium case that ill have matching straps. The colours it comes in are dark blue, silver and rose gold. A pretty nice lineup to choose from. The LTE model will wear a stainless steel case with a leather strap with its four colour options. These are black, gold, silver and rose gold. With the 40mm case, however, you only get offered the rose gold and pink.
