Gacha hit Wuthering Waves gets new 2.1 update – here’s what’s included, plus news of a Mac version

Ever since Kuru Games launched Wuthering Waves as a direct competitor to the likes of Jonkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact it has continued to captivate players who like a little bit of gacha gaming in their lives. While WuWa doesn’t seem to have been out that long we are actually at version 2.1 already, which has just rolled out for PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5.

The latest version brings a mix of updates such as new areas, Resonators, Convenes, events, companion stories, quests, and gameplay, as well as some new additions, such as new merchandise.

We have also now got news of a new Mac version of Wuthering Waves which will be released on the 27th of March. You can watch a trailer for the version 2.1 update below and see what all the fuss is about.

 

Wuthering Waves Version 2.1 Features:

New Regions:

New Resonators:

New Phantom Echo:

Optimizations:

  • Echo Presets: allow you to easily save and apply customized Echo lineups for your Resonator. Select any saved preset and use “Apply” to equip the preset to the current Resonator.
  • Echo Recommendation: On the Echo Selection page, use “Suggest” to open the filter. This allows you to check the most commonly used Mainstats and Substats for the current Resonator and quickly filter out suitable Echoes. On the Resonator – Echo page, use “Suggest” to check the most commonly used Sonata Effect for the current Resonator. Use “Auto Equip” to equip all Echoes that best match the selected Sonata Effect. In addition, the Echo storage space has been expanded to 3,000.
  • Camera Optimizations: Idle poses capture stunning photos of your Resonators in their idle animation poses. More controls explore more compositions with the addition of Camera Filters, adjustable Filter Intensity, and free horizontal and vertical camera movement.

Ray-Traced Global Illumination:

  • Ray-Traced Global Illumination is now officially available in Version 2.1. Currently, Ray Tracing requires an NVIDIAⓇ GeForce RTX™ 40 series graphics card or higher on PC. Players can expect ongoing optimization efforts to bring this feature to a wide range of graphics cards.

  • Chang Li: Metheus Series 1/7 Series Scale Figurine. Under the Umbrella Glance Version.
  • Camellya: Meheus Series 1/7 Scale Figurine. Sanguine Blossom Version.
