A fresh national poll conducted by Fox News has indicated Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris in the U.S. Presidential race with a lead of around 2%.
As the 45th POTUS and the incumbent Vice-President face off for control of the White House for the next term, the final stretch beckons ahead of the election on Tuesday 5 November.
The Fox survey represents Trump’s best position since Harris was named as the Democrat nominee, after President Joe Biden withdrew from the contest, reversing the figures from last month when the former California senator had a similar slim lead in the poll.
Fox has suggested Trump’s advantage should be tempered by the figures showing Harris is ahead by six points among the electorate in six of the seven swing states.

Overall, the survey reflects the fine margins in the race at this critical time, with both candidates doing their utmost to win over undecided voters at this late stage.
Have Polymarket’s odds been compromised?
Over on the blockchain-based prediction platform Polymarket, Trump has surged ahead in its election forecast offering. Last Friday, the New York native’s odds had risen to a two-month high but this has increased to a massive 60.7% chance of winning, compared to a 39.2% for Harris to win.
The landslide margin of more than 20% suggests a formality that isn’t widely shared elsewhere, arousing fears that Polymarket’s odds could be compromised with accumulated bets on Trump presenting a skewed market.
A prominent crypto analyst known as Fozzy has outlined how a single entity has recently staked bets on Trump on Polymarket to the tune of $26 million through four different accounts.
Data suggests a single entity has been purchasing all Trump related bets on @Polymarket totaling $26 million.

With Fox News indicating Harris is trailing, she took part in a frosty first interview with the same news channel which is widely recognized as being critical and generally opposed to her positions. During a 25-minute sit-down on Thursday (Oct 17), Harris was grilled on issues such as illegal immigration, transgender prisoners, and President Biden’s mental faculties.
Donald Trump also took part in a town hall event with Fox on Thursday in front of an all-female audience.
