Fortnite: Where to find Godzilla’s footprints

Fancy, what should be at least, an easy 25,000 XP and ticking off a Godzilla quest in Fortnite to boot? Sure you do. Well to bank the XP and complete one of the tasks in the new Godzilla content you are going to need to find some big lizard footprints, but it’s a big old map, and time is money, so let’s direct you right there.

How to find Godzilla’s footprint

We have already looked at all the quests and rewards in more detail in the new Godzilla event and discovered that there is 25k of juicy experience up for grabs for investigating the giant footprints.

Pre this event the area known as Shining Span has now been wiped out and renamed Shattered Span. The bridge that once connected both sections of land has been smashed through and, well something big has been through this location.

As you can see on the map below you want to head to the east of the map – look for our little location icon. If you are dropping in from above a quick scan should let you spot the footprint on the beach from the air – it’s pretty huge.

One thing to definitely bear in mind though is that if you are looking for it, other players are looking for it. We had to fight off quite a few enemies in order to get these screenshots – the area can be quick highly populated if you are unlucky.

How to complete Investigating the Giant Footprints quest

There’s really nothing to it once you have found the footprint. Simply walk over to it to bank the XP. Of course, watch out for other players and sly campers just waiting for people like you to come along unawares.

Godzilla can’t be found on the island just yet, that’s coming in a couple of days time, but for now you can clean up getting some of the quests done and get that lovely XP collected.
