The teams behind the upcoming dating simulator Date Everything! have announced that the game is being been delayed until June 2025. Team 17 and Sassy Chap Games have cited testing as the reason for the delay and have pushed back the release from its initial proposed date of Valentine’s Day 2025.
Date Everything! is a dating simulator that allows players to date literally anything in the sandbox world. The Dateviator Glasses enable players to see everyday objects in your home as romanceable (and hot) characters, and you can choose to date, befriend or “hate” them. Team 17 – the devs behind other popular games like Golf with Your Friends, Dredge and Overcooked! – promise the following features in their upcoming dating sim:
- 100 Datable Characters
- Fully Voice Acted
- Branching Narratives
- At Least 3 Endings Per Dateable Character – based on the Love, Hate or Friend branches.
- Puns Galore!
In a recent announcement, the team behind the dating sim have made the choice to push back its release, writing that they were “too confident that [they] could properly test ALL the wild amount of content and pathing that exists in this massive game” and could not complete all of the testing prior to their initial release date of the 14th of February 2025.

They have reassured the community that they are making good progress on the testing but that it would be a “disservice” to release it in its current state. The community has responded mostly positively, writing that they’d prefer a polished version of the game and commending the team for taking the time to iron out any glitches and bugs. So unfortunately, players will have to wait a little longer before they can date their washing machine or refrigerator (yes, those are options!), but in the meantime, we’ll keep you posted on any further news here at ReadWrite Gaming.
