Customized Gear S3 from Revolutionary Tracker will be helping US warrior athletes at Invictus Games 2017

Wearable electronics drastically influenced the health and fitness industry in the recent times. Hence the number of hardware manufacturers building smart wearable devices, such as smartwatches and fitness trackers, has been on the rise and so are the number of health and fitness based smart services being developed by individuals as well as large firms. While there has been a debate on whether a smartwatch or a fitness tracker actually makes any difference to an individual’s health and fitness, some of the successful companies such as Revolutionary Tracker which is a woman-owned company believe that it actually does make a positive impact.
On September 23rd, the Invictus Games had a grand inauguration in Toronto, Canada. For those unaware, Invictus Games was created by Prince Harry of Wales and is an International Paralympic style event for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veteran. The event is in its third edition this year and the US team which comprises of about 90 warrior athletes and coaches will be donning something unique on their wrists customized specially for this event by the Revolutionary Tracker system.
This something unique is actually a Samsung Gear S3 running on a unique integrated solution from Revolutionary Tracker who are making use of the GearUp API services. This offering from Revolutionary racer will supposedly give the Invictus Games’ U.S. team, coaches and managers an added edge in terms of connectivity, real-time location awareness, and health & wellness data of the athletes using the built in sensors such as heartrate monitor, pedometer, gyroscope, etc.
Nitesh Jain, Head of Digital Health and Wearable Services, at Samsung Electronics America quoted saying-

“We are excited to collaborate with Revolutionary Tracker to empower these heroic athletes and coaches at the Invictus 2017 with the latest wearable solutions,By joining together Revolutionary Tracker’s platform and GearUp, we are able to equip these Warrior Athletes with innovative technology that provides new ways to improve health, productivity and safety for this year’s games.”
