Prezi yesterday announced Prezi Meeting, a new feature that enables up to 10 users to collaborate on presentations in real time. The makers of Web-based presentation builder
Prezi touts their offering as a new approach to slide-based presentations. Instead of standard, PowerPoint-style slideshows, Prezi generates one giant slide containing the entire presentation, and each important element is zoomed in and out of in sequential order. It takes the often boring experience of a slideshow and turns it into a more dynamic, 3D-feeling one.
"Unlike traditional slide-based presentation tools, Prezi lets users zoom in and out to examine the big picture and focus on details, which is great for creating and showing compelling messages," Prezi, Inc. CEO Peter Arvari said in a press release. "Now, with Prezi Meeting, teams around the world can work together in real time or simply present prezis to each other."
The original creator of a presentation can email participants with a unique URL from which they can all collaborate. Team members can edit the presentation, communicate using Skype and preview the final product.
Prezi Meeting is now available in all of pricing plans, which includes a free option.
