Today, the first users of the Tizen 2.4 Beta software test program for the Samsung Z1 began receiving the update, which measures in at 237.8Mb and take about 20-25 mins for the device to apply it. Once finished we are now on Tizen version 2.4.0.0 – Z130HDDU0COI5_OC2.
The program was announced at the end of August. The idea is that eligible users, currently based in India, will be able to get new software / firmware versions to install on their Z1 Smartphones before anyone else. They will also have the opportunity to provide feedback and win a prize worth 1000₹ for best feedbacks received.

Pre-requisites
You need to own a Tizen Z1 device that has the latest Z1 MR binary version i.e. Z130HDDU0BOH1. You can Install KIES 3 software that can be used to backup/restore of your data and rollback to Tizen 2.3 release if need be.
