Today, Samsung have released the eagerly awaited Tizen 2.4 update for the Samsung Z1 Smartphone in Bangladesh. This follows the release of the Tizen 2.4 Operating System (OS) update to the Indian market a couple of weeks ago, with the promise it will be released to Bangladesh following successful testing. Well, the testing has finished and the 257.6MB Over the Air (OTA) update is available immediately to download.
The Z1 originally launched with Tizen 2.3, but following the launch of the Tizen 2.4 Beta Software Test Program in India, users have been looking forward to getting the final Tizen 2.4 release for their device. The Z1 has currently been released in several countries including India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. There is no Information at present when the latter mentioned countries will get this update.

Kies Update
The following is the procedure to use to update the firmware using the Kies desktop application:
- Launch the Kies App on your Desktop
- Plug your Smartphone into the Desktop
- You should get an option to update your software
- Manually check by selecting Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation

If you do not get automatically prompted to update your firmware on your smartphone, you can manually check by using the steps below:
- Select Settings
- Select About Device
- Select Software Update
- Select Check for updates
