New version of Tizen developer tools v13.07 Released

The Tizen Tools Development Team are pleased to announce the release of a new version of Tizen developer tools. v 13.07 has been released
This release contains several major enhancements for the following existing tools:

  • gbs 0.19
  • mic 0.22
  • bmap-tools 3.0

Highlights:

  • gbs 0.19 release
    • remove previous built rpm and srpm if new version has been built out
    • track upstream/pristine-tar branch automatically, and use upstream and pristine-tar branch to generate tar ball
    • split out remote build module to separate sub-package: gbs-remotebuild
    • load project special gbs.conf if gitdir specified
    • support ‘/’ in branch while using gbs submit
    • dependencies update:
      • depend on new pristine-tar 1.28, which contains bug fix while creating pristine-tar delta data
      • depend on new librpm-tizen to ignore some spec parser error

  • mic 0.22 release
    • rewrite the message logging module to avoid unexpected stream buffering
    • refine error class module
    • enhance the support for virtualenv
    • add bash and zsh completion support
    • update BmapCreate module to the latest version
    • fix packing process exit on Ubuntu
    • fix loop device alloaction failed on openSUSE
    • set owner of cacheidr/outdir to SUDO_USER

  • bmap-tools 3.0
    • switch from using SHA1 checksums in the bmap file to SHA256.
    • support OpenPGP (AKA gpg) signatures for the bmap file.
    • The Fiemap module (and thus, bmaptool) now always synchronizes the image before scanning it for mapped areas. This is done by using the “FIEMAP_FLAG_SYNC” flag of the FIEMAP ioctl.
