The Crunchies event last night in SF was a blast. Thanks to everyone involved, but especially Michael Arrington, Heather Harde and the team from TechCrunch – who put in a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make this a success.
I also must apologize for publishing the list of winners at 7.30pm PST, just as the show started. Allen Stern and others (e.g. on Twitter) noted their disappointment about that. I’m very sorry, it was a mistake on my part and due to a miscommunication among the Crunchies team.
The embargo for the list was 7.30 and so my understanding was that the other 3 Crunchies blogs would also post at that time. It didn’t even occur to me that lots of people would be following the event via live streaming on the Internet! And I missed a memo just before the event that we shouldn’t post the list at 7.30 after all. Sigh. I’ll blame this one on jet lag. But sorry to anyone whose fun I spoiled by revealing the winners before they were announced, it wasn’t done intentionally.
Anyway, it didn’t detract from the wonderful time that everyone had at the event. Congratulations to all the winners and here’s to another great year for startups and blog media alike!

There will be recorded segments from the official Crunchies archivists soon on Revision 3. For now you can see an archived live stream from Mogulus.
