WhatsApp Voice Calling Beta for Samsung Z3
Samsung Z3 users will today be able to join the WhatsApp voice calling Beta program that went live for Samsung Z1 users a few days ago. This was a highly requested feature and its great to see it going live. In order to be eligible for the WhatsApp voice calling beta you need to be on firmware Tizen 2.4 BPB2 (Z300HDDU0BPB2 or later) and have also registered for the beta program.
You will be able to download the WhatsApp Beta to your Z3 by clicking on a weblink that will be enabled for your Tizen Community account 1-day after registration, taking you to WhatsApp BETA version 2.12.14. Once you have Installed you will not be able to revert back to the older version, instead needing to wait for a newer whatsapp official version to be released.
Firmware BPB2 (Z300HDDU0BPB2)
You should get a notification to update to the latest version, which is only a 4.4 MB update, but just in case you don’t you can do it manually by following the Instructions below:
- Select Settings
- Select About Device
- Select Software Update
- Select Check for updates
