Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff Uses His Twitter and Facebook Page to Test Ads

Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff is going to Twitter and Facebook to ask for feedback about some new ads.

This is what makes Benioff different from almost any other CEO at a billion dollar company – he gets the whole concept of engagement. He’s literate about the social Web. In this case, he uses social networks better than most marketers do.

He tweeted about the ads with a link to his Facebook page:

And then posted them on Facebook. At around 4:30, after less than an hour, Benioff had feedback from about 20 people.

Most liked the ad on the right. In the meantime, he also received his share of feedback.

We can’t see Google CEO Eric Schmidt doing this. Steve Ballmer? No.

What do you think? What does this say to you about Benioff compared to his counterparts?
