Telligent, a leading community and enterprise collaboration platform, has launched the new versions of both their internal and external platforms, as well as a new analytics package to accompany them.
You may remember the various faces of Telligent as Community Server, Community Server Evolution, and Harvest Reporting Server, but they’ve all received new, more straightforward branding. Now it’s just Telligent Community for the outward-facing software, Telligent Enterprise for the intranet solution, and Telligent Analytics for….well, you get the picture.
A preeminent community platform according to Forrester (the portion behind the firewall was not assessed), Telligent made these announcements in tandem with their presence at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference, and you can check out the new software powering an unofficial community site for the gathering.
Community
Today marks the fifth iteration of Telligent’s community platform. In addition to a new look and feel, some of the features that have been incorporated include richer and more easily searchable user profiles and Twitter-like activity streams.
However, the real win is really the new drag-and-drop widgets. The speed and fluidity by which a user interface in Telligent Community 5.0 can be reconfigured and enhanced with rich content is impressive indeed.
Enterprise
An aspect that makes Telligent standout next to some of its competitors is its attitude to playing nice with older, more common business tools.
In its collaboration space behind the firewall, the new Telligent is all about integration with every possible layer of traditional enterprise assets: everything from SharePoint and Sun Directory to email, telephone, and enterprise search providers. Combining both these independent appliances and actions from within Telligent in to a single, global management platform is what makes it a top performer for enterprise teams.
Analytics is ROI
More than nearly any other company, Telligent’s analytics are given serious attention as a vital resource alongside their tools for community and knowledge management.
Both Telligent Enterprise and Community have newly integrated their own site-wide social analytics which are easy to drill down in to and look at based on a delightfully mixed bag of metrics. While the new software for Enterprise and Community is available now, Analytics 3.0 is currently by invitation only.
